This Privacy Policy explains how Metro Anesthesia (“we,” “us”) handles information collected through its text message (SMS) notification program for credentialed physicians and contracted providers. It supplements any broader privacy practices of Metro Anesthesia.

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your mobile phone number or your SMS consent with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Information we collect

For this program we collect only your mobile phone number, the fact and date of your opt-in consent, and the method by which consent was recorded. We do not collect mobile information from any source other than your own opt-in.

How we use your information

To send operational scheduling notifications — call assignments, shift swaps, vacation, and shift changes.
To honor opt-out and help requests and maintain a record of consent.

We do not use your number for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to operational scheduling. Messages never contain protected health information (PHI).

Sharing of information

We share your mobile number only with the messaging service providers that deliver the texts on our behalf (for example, our SMS carrier/aggregator), and only to the extent necessary to send these notifications. Those providers are bound to use the information solely for delivery.

Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties or affiliates for any purpose other than message delivery.

Message frequency and rates

Message frequency varies based on scheduling activity. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Opting out and getting help

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by turning off text alerts in the app under My Settings. Reply HELP for assistance. After you opt out, we will stop sending program messages to your number.

Data retention

We retain your number and consent record for as long as you participate in the program and as required to document consent. You may request deletion of your number from the program by opting out.
